Mental health services are free on the NHS, but you may require a referral from your GP to access them.
In some cases, you can use self-referral if your problems relate to drug addiction or alcohol addiction or if your require psychological therapies services (if you suffer from stress, anxiety or depression).
Mind is a mental health charity in England and Wales. Mind offers information and advice to people with mental health problems and lobbies government and local authorities on their behalf. It also works to raise public awareness and understanding of issues relating to mental health. The Mind's website is very thorough and contains useful tools including an A-Z of mental illnesses as well as a number of interactive self-help tools and links to mindfulness apps and games.
Rethink Mental Illness
RMI offers information and support to people with mental health problems. It also campaigns nationally and locally to bring mental health at the forefront of government policies. The RMI's website contains a wealth of information on various mental health problems through its factsheets and offers advice for carers. RMI also offers mental health training.
Mercy UK is a faith-based organisation which aims to restore wholeness to the broken, give strength to the weak and empower every individual in the body of Christ to overcome the difficulties they are going through. Mercy UK has an array of discipleship resources, provides pastoral training and remote support services. It also has a residential home programme for women aged 18 to 30 who wish to make life-long changes to their situation and find healing and restoration in Christ.

Mental Health Mates
Mental Health Mates is an organisation which organises meet up and walks for people who have struggle or still struggle with their mental health. Walks are run by volunteers in various areas are a great way to share stories and tips with like-minded people in a non-judgemental environment.
