Julie’s Story

My name is Julie and I never imagined my marriage would fail. Like many young women, I dreamed of love, children, and a happy home. For a while, I thought I had it, but behind closed doors, life was very different. I was living in fear and shame; not telling a soul; living in the dark.

Starting over wasn’t easy. For years, I locked that part of my life away, keeping it in the dark.

One winter I joined a Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing group at my local church. I only went to support a friend, but as the weeks passed, I realised something: everyone in that room had brokenness in their lives.

Eventually I found the courage to step into the light and share my story. No judgment, just listening. I no longer felt alone and in the dark. And I began to see how God was meeting me where I was, in love and grace, so that I could forgive others and myself.

Kintsugi Hope gave me a safe place to heal and reminded me that I’m not alone; there is hope.

There is help. There is Hope.
There is Kintsugi Hope.
